Located in the heart of the Dhikala zone of Jim Corbett National Park, Sarapduli Forest Lodge is one of the park’s most scenic and secluded accommodations. Nestled on the banks of the Ramganga River, this lodge is a peaceful spot for watching wildlife in their natural habitat. It’s an excellent choice for travelers looking to escape the crowds and stay deep inside the forest.
Sarapduli offers basic forest rest house accommodations with essential amenities such as clean beds and attached bathrooms. Electricity is solar-powered and limited. There is no internet or mobile signal, making this a perfect digital detox experience in the wild. The lodge is managed by the Forest Department and bookings must be made in advance.
The area around Sarapduli is rich in biodiversity. Because of its location near riverbanks and grasslands, this lodge is ideal for spotting wild elephants, deer, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. Occasionally, tigers and leopards are also seen in this zone. Safari drives start directly from the lodge, offering early access to prime wildlife trails.
With fewer tourists and a tranquil riverside environment, Sarapduli is highly favored by bird watchers and naturalists. The sounds of flowing water and birdcalls add to the immersive jungle feel, making it a photographer’s paradise.
